Risk assessment is an integral part of the management system. Chemfleet takes a proactive approach by undertaking formal risk assessments to identify and control risks of vessels both afloat and ashore. Senior staff with specialized knowledge identify potential risks and initiate controls to reduce/remove potential impact. Regular monitoring of risk after controls in place to ensure that there is no change in circumstances that may increase risk.
Chemfleet conducts a change assessment for every change. The Company reviews potential risks at least annually and issues detailed risk assessment for vessels’ use. Vessels conduct risk assessment before every critical task such hot work, enclosed space entry, critical equipment repair, etc. Vessels ask the company for permission before every critical task. Fleet superintendents and operators follow vessel activities on a daily basis and respond if they observe any risks.
